Misfit makes its Indian debut exclusively via Snapdeal

The Misfit Shine, Flash and Link have arrived in India and are available to buy exclusively through e-commerce site Snapdeal. The three devices are the American brand’s first foray into the growing Indian wearables market.

The company claims the Misfit Shine, Flash and Link don’t require charging and are water resistant. The gadgets are equipped with a replaceable coin cell battery which is supposed to last for up to 6 months. All three communicate through a companion app compatible with Android, iOS and Windows phone platforms.

Misfit Flash

Starting off with the Shine, the device costs Rs 5499 and is made up of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum. It tracks a person’s calorie intake, number of steps and distance walked. It monitors their sleep and can be used to set alarms. Consumers can double tap on its surface to view the progress they’ve made towards their daily goals.

The Flash also acts as a sleep and fitness monitor, but is differentiated by its soft-touch plastic body. Priced at Rs 2499, it comes with smart button feature that allows the user to play music or message friends. It automatically syncs data using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). Users can store a maximum of 30 days of data in the device.

Misfit Link App

Finally, the Link is a simple button that keeps track of a person’s health. It’s the cheapest option of the three at Rs 1999 and performs most of the functions the others do. Activities it can be used for include taking selfies, changing slides and sending a message.

The Misfit Shine, Flash and Link will be sold in offline stores a few months down the line. An official page for the devices is live now on Snapdeal. The brand’s app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, iTunes and the Windows Store.
