Microsoft has announced the arrival of the Bing app for Android devices and the iPhone too. The application is based on HTML5 and apparently promises to enable a smooth and fast mobile browsing experience. Some of the interesting features include a refreshed maps module, a new deals service and real-time transit information.

As per a post on the official Bing Community blog, this app will help in the creation of a mobile experience which will employ exclusive functionalities of the various mobile platforms including camera support and voice search. This application comes with the Deals feature that serves as a one-stop deal shopping space and provides easy mobile phone access to local deals from more than a hundred deal providers across the U.S.

The Transit or Real-Time feature enables users to receive real-time transit and news along with all the functionalities that were earlier available on m.bing.com. The app also features the Video Domain functionality. The map or list has been converted to split view for mobiles to give users a dynamic way to synchronize any list such as business listings, directions or maps in a single view. This ought to make the task of viewing the location that users are seeking easier. The feature is also capable of working for driving directions and transit.

The Microsoft Bing app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and the Android Market. It is expected to arrive soon for RIM and Windows Phone 7 handsets as well.
