Micromax and MTS join hands to introduce Canvas Blaze, it rocks a Qualcomm chip

The Micromax Canvas Blaze smartphone made headlines when it showed up on an e-retailer’s website and now finally the company has decided to make it official. Micromax has joined forces with MTS to launch this device and the latter has some deals for users who choose to purchase this EVDO-compatible smartphone.

As expected, the device falls in the mid-range category and doesn’t break the bank considering it has been priced at Rs 10,999. And for those who choose to get an MTS connection with the phone are in for a surprise as they can expect 2GB of data, 1000 free minutes to other local MTS numbers and 120 free local and STD minutes for 6 months.

Micromax Canvas Blaze

The Micromax handset operates with the assistance of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS and makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for ensuring internal working. This chipset has two cores and it can clock in a speed of 1.2GHz. The phone has dual SIM card slots and it lets you access the internet via hotspots, thanks to built-in Wi-Fi. And of course, there’s Bluetooth for data transferring purposes.

Moreover, it provides a multi-touch real estate of 5 inches and brings two cameras along. A 0.3MP webcam makes sure you can make video calls, whereas an 8MP snapper has been assigned the responsibility of capturing memories in the form of photos and videos. You can store some of the digital content on the handset’s onboard memory and if it is not enough, insert a memory card of not more than 32GB capacity in the dedicated expansion slot. The smartphone draws power from a 1850mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Blaze is up for grabs for Rs 10,999.
