Have you seen the dancing pig with Michael Jackson moves in the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 teaser the company rolled out on YouTube just before the phablet’s specifications were leaked? Well, there’s a dancing pig in a black tuxedo which moonwalks to some background music before promising that a bigger Canvas is coming soon.
If you’re about to ask us ‘Why a dancing pig?’ we don’t have an answer for you. While Micromax has not given anything away in terms of specifications of the Canvas Doodle 3, they have been leaked along with pictures of the smartphone in the box in which it will be sold.
Before you get all excited, the ‘upcoming phone’ appears to be a downgrade when compared to the Canvas Doodle 2 in every other way but the display. The older device had a quad core chipset, while this one features a dual core one. From 12MP and 5MP cameras, you’re being presented with 5MP and 0.3 lenses on the new handset.
The 2600mAh battery has been ripped out in favor of a 2500mAh power house here. All of this could probably explain the cost of the Doodle 3 being reported at almost half of what its predecessor commands. The OS onboard stays the same though with Android Jelly Bean 4.2 being on offer and there’s a flip cover accompaniment à la Samsung Galaxy S4.
