The Micromax Bolt A58 is still to be officially unveiled by its Gurgaon-based manufacturer, but the budget dual SIM device has nonetheless gone on sale through Saholic. Priced at Rs 5,499, this handset proffers the benefits of the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, while it even possesses a dual core processor to facilitate its operations.
The Micromax Bolt A58 seems to have been made available only in one color option – red. The above mentioned e-commerce website states that its first deliveries are set to commence on October 19. This festive season, the Bolt A58 will pose stiff competition to Karbonn’s newly unveiled range of four budget smartphones, all of which will be doled out with their price tags kept locked under the Rs 7,500 mark.
A 3.5 inch TFT LCD monitor has been placed on the Micromax Bolt A58’s front surface, allowing it to display its visuals with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. A webcam doesn’t find a place in its offerings, but a 2MP rear camera has indeed been granted to it.
The dual core processor which we talked about is the MTK 6572M from MediaTek. This ticker has been clocked at 1GHz, and is accompanied by 512MB worth of RAM. The internal memory on the Micromax Bolt A58 has also been set at 512MB, but its microSD card slot enables further expansions of up to 32GB. This device features support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and is powered by a 1200mAh battery.
