Micromax A71 quietly goes up for sale for Rs 6,750

The Micromax A71 is yet another device by the Indian manufacturer that has been launched in the country, but just like the two Funbook tablets and the Canvas XL A119, it has only been spotted on an e-retailing website. It is an entry-level phone priced at Rs 6,750 and it could belong to the Bolt series of phones from the company.

The dual SIM device’s front panel is graced by a 5-inch capacitive TFT WVGA touchscreen of 480 x 800p resolution as well as a 0.3MP webcam. And a fixed focus 2MP snapper has been placed on the rear side to facilitate capturing images and videos. As the smartphone binges on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, you can expect it to have a user-friendly interface.

A 1GHz ARM Cortex A5 takes care of its internal working and seeks assistance from 512MB of RAM. 512MB of ROM can also be found on the device and you can expand it further by up to 32GB using a microSD card. The smartphone is compatible of most of the common audio and video formats and brings all the common connectivity features as well. A 2000mAh battery rests under the hood and manages to cough up the juice for talk time of close to 5 hours in the 2G mode.
