MetroPCS has launched the Android Huawei M835 and Samsung Freefrom III smartphones at what they call budget-friendly prices in the ‘back to school’ season. Apart from these two, the service provider is also offering promotional pricing on the Kyocera Torino, Samsung Messenger III, Samsung Galaxy Indulge and LG Optimus M.

The Huawei M835 handset is fueled by Android 2.2 and arrives loaded with DTS Envelo virtual sound technology. The latter strives to deliver sharp and clear sound effects for music, entertainment and gaming. The Froyo packed phone will provide access to a multitude of apps in the Android Market.

Additionally, the device features Swype technology and is also inclusive of GPS navigation. It embeds a 3.2MP camera with video attributes and an MP3 music player. The Samsung Freeform III could be called comparably more social as it allows complete access to unlimited messaging and social networking. Featuring a QWERTY keypad, the handset entails a 1.3MP camera and MP3 music player too.

“MetroPCS understands the importance of value-conscious options when it comes to wireless services and is dedicated to offering affordable and flexible service plans with no hidden costs or charges. This back to school season, MetroPCS wants students to have access to the coolest phones and offerings by providing a variety of our smartphones and messaging phones that meet the needs of our customers without breaking the bank,” remarked Tony Lau, staff vice president handset product management, MetroPCS.

The Huawei M835 smartphone is available with MetroPCS’ $50 service plan and retails for a price of $79. The Samsung Freeform III can be picked up with a $40, $45, or $50 monthly service plan and sells for a price of $49. The Kyocera Torino is up for grabs at outlets for a tag of $29, while the Samsung Messenger III is priced at $69. The Samsung Galaxy Indulge and LG Optimus M are available at stores for $229 and $99, respectively.

With the season in full swing parents, high schoolers and college goers can avail of these phones with unlimited talk, text and web service plans beginning at $40 per month, which is inclusive of all applicable taxes and regulatory fees.
