The Meizu MX and M9 handsets will soon get a delicious bit of Flyme OS 1.0 which is mingled with ICS, starting sometime in June. The company has confirmed that all the phones rolled out from those quarters are eligible for the upgrade.

This OS arrives with an intuitive interface blended with easy-to-use features. It also claims to carry some advantages over the general Android 4.0 OS. While the UI could be more instinctive as already mentioned, the list of pre-installed apps should be extensive as well. The upgrade will support backup and syncing along with abilities to locate lost handsets. A new cloud service including a personal storage system will be provided too.

As for prospective buyers in China, the Meizu Music Online application will have its entire assortment updated to lossless audio versions. Owners of both Meizu handsets will get an OTA update to Flyme, while others can download the software upgrade from the official site.

Flyme OS

As far as the specifications go, the Meizu MX carries an Exynos dual core A9 processor as its highlight. It sports a 4-inch 292 ppi screen that employs ASV display technology. The primary 8MP snapper on the flip side is touted to take images even in dimly-lit conditions. The Meizu M9 released back in 2011, is regarded as China’s flagship smartphone. It comes with attributes like a 3.5-inch screen, 1GHz processor and 5MP camera among others.

The Meizu MX price is marked at Â¥2,399 in Mainland China and HK$2,599 in Hong Kong. The Meizu M9 price is revealed to be Â¥1,699 in Mainland China. Like we’ve already stated, the Meizu MX and M9 Flyme OS 1.0 upgrade will arrive in June.
