MDO S812 HTC Magic clone shows up

MDO S812 Handset Several HTC magic clones were revealed earlier, but all were Windows Mobile driven. A company based in Shenzhen recently unveiled a HTC Magic clone known as MDO S812. Surprisingly, the cloned handset is driven by Android Operating System.

The handset bears sharp resemblances with the HTC Magic in terms of design and appearance. Amazingly, the S812 will be offered as an unlocked version, like all other clones, reports Ubergizmo. The cloned handset is driven by 624MHz Marvell PXA310 processor and packages 256MB ROM as well as a 128MB RAM.

The mobile phone features a 3.2-inch HVGA display that presents 320 × 480 resolution. Reportedly, the HTC Magic clone sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus functionality. Further, the device incorporates Wi-Fi connectivity as well as support for CDMA2000 EVDO 800MHz 3G networking and GSM EDGE 2G networking.

Apparently, the dimensions of the device are 108mm × 50mm × 12.15mm and it offers support for email, WAP browsing, Google Maps, Google search and more. It may present Google standard omni-directional trackball navigation key, menu key, call or return key and function keys like a magnifying glass.

Reportedly, the MDO S812 HTC Magic clone will come with a price tag of $294 in China.
