Sygic MapmyIndia Logos To deliver premium navigation experience while on the move, MapmyIndia recently joined hands with the European navigation software provider to introduce MapmyIndia Sygic Mobile Maps. This application is capable of transforming GPS-enabled mobile phones into GPS navigators.

The app is embedded into the handset and does not need GPRS data connection or cellular network to operate. This mapping application is compatible with most of the GPS phones driven by Windows Mobile, Symbian, Android and even the iPhone. Users can also store locations as favorites, record GPS logs, add multiple destinations and even plan routes.

With this release, users can explore around 401 cities across India with street-level turn-by-turn directions and information on POIs, as well as national, state or district highways. MapmyIndia also features various POIs like budget/premium hotels, petrol pumps, eating joints, ATMs, hospitals as well as tourist and religious spots.

MapmyIndia Sygic Mobile Maps is now available for purchase via MapmyIndia web shop for Rs. 2,490. However, iPhone users can purchase the mobile maps India application for $79.99 from the Apple iTunes App store.
