Lumigon T1With major handset manufacturers like LG, Motorola and Samsung announcing an Android 2.2 update for their phone, seems like another player plans to step in. That’s what it appears to be if we adhere to the rumors of the mobile world. Officially, Lumigon’s Facebook page has propped up an image of the T1. Apparently, the two major changes in the device being spoken about are firstly the navigation pad and secondly an externally-accessible micro-SD slot.

The handset is speculated to run on the Android 2.2 Froyo and Freescale 1GHz i.MX51 processor. Outfitted with a 3.2″ capacitive TFT touchscreen featuring a 480 x 320 resolution, this device boasts of 3.5 mm jack and 720p video. The phone is proposed to also sport a slide-out keypad and an FM receiver/transmitter. Additionally, it is said to bundle up 5MP camera with flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, an accelerometer and more.

Back in the month of July the same page stated that this device would launch on 2010-2010-2010 meaning October 20, 2010 at 20:10).
