Lighthouse1 Mobile application released for iPhone and Android

Lighthouse1 Logo Lighthouse1 has just annunciated the Lighthouse1 Mobile application for the iPhone and Android. The ground-breaking app empowers users to access and upload details about their healthcare account from their smartphones, anytime, anywhere.

The company’s product management team has drafted several exciting enhancements for the Lighthouse1 platform in various fields such as consumer self-service, payment solutions and administrator operations. The app comes loaded with features such as Online Bill Pay, Claims Exchange with Pay the Provider, Copy Plan Year and Contributions from Personal Account.

“With Lighthouse1 Mobile, consumers will have even more access to their healthcare benefits and more control over their healthcare spending, asserts Jeff Young, CEO at Lighthouse1. Along with our partners, we are poised to continue to reduce costs and simplify the business of healthcare.”

The Lighthouse1 Mobile application carries the Claims Exchange with Pay the Provider feature, which facilitates the claims received from a health plan to be automatically validated by preventing the hassles of procuring receipts. The Online Bill Pay endows the user with an alternative to enter ad hoc provider information via the Consumer Portal, so that they can pay online for their healthcare bills with the help of their HSA funds.

By using the Contributions from Personal Account feature in the app, users can relocate their post-tax funds from a personal bank account into their HSA accounts via the Consumer Portal on an ad-hoc basis. This feature assists in increasing consumer contributions to their HSA and further supports HSA products that are directly made available in the individual market. The Copy Plan Year function permits administrators to enable immediate renewal of an employer group, by letting them copy a previous plan year with the click of a button.

“In addition to providing a world-class technology platform to our partners, we’re helping them grow faster, increase adoption, and serve their clients better than the competition, states Jeff Bakke, executive vice president of strategic planning and business development for Lighthouse1. The Benchmark Report gives us tremendous insight into our joint progress.”

Lighthouse1 has annunciated a number of sales and marketing initiatives, along with the release of Value Added Services for its partners. The services and products in this offer would help in augmenting the employer and consumer loyalty. Additionally, it would increase the revenue opportunities for partners. The preliminary Value Added Services will emphasize on education, enrollment and participation, plus health management and wellness tools.

The Partner Conference 2010 was sponsored by strategic and business partners of Lighthouse1, consisting of Microsoft, Rackspace, TSYS, Intercept EFT, Skyline Displays, InTouch, Coherent Solutions, Benaissance, First Data and UMB.

Lighthouse1 at Partner Conference 2010 provided attendees with its annual Lighthouse1 Benchmark Report. The report provides the industry’s benchmark analysis for financial, operational and team engagement, customer, and innovation, equating each organization to the extensive range of third-party administrators, banks and health plans partnered with Lighthouse1.

The Lighthouse1 Mobile app is said to be out in the markets by Fall.
