LG T-Mobile myTouch and myTouch Q to grace the holiday season

T-Mobile myTouch and myTouch Q are the latest Android powered smartphones to grace the carrier’s line-up of handsets from LG. These devices are expected to be made available by the holiday season in the U.S.

The myTouch is a full-touch smartphone with a 3.8-inch touchscreen integrated with the Swype feature. As the name suggests, the myTouch Q slides out a QWERTY keypad to be of comfort to habitual texting enthusiasts. The myTouch Q also sports a touchscreen measuring 3.5 inches.

“When moving to their first smartphone, customers want a simple and uncomplicated experience without compromising on quality. With the introduction of these new myTouch smartphones paired with our worry-free data plans and fast 4G network, we’re making it easier than ever to step up to 4G experiences,” said Andrew Sherrard, senior VP, marketing, T-Mobile USA.

Serving the obvious Gingerbread demand by Android enthusiasts, these devices run the said OS and also come with a 1GHz Qualcomm processor to ensure smooth functionality and multi-tasking. Each of these devices is also equipped with a 5MP camera which records 720p HD videos.

Both handsets feature a front facing camera which enables video calling facilities complimented by the T-Mobile Video Chat by Qik. Other functions of these devices include the Set-up Wizard, Tips Widget, Genius Button, and more.

The T-Mobile myTouch by LG will be available in colors like black and white, while the myTouch Q will don shades of gray and violet. Pricing details have not been revealed yet.
