LG showcases media file-sharing technology at IFA trade show

LG LogoLG Electronics brought to the forefront its brand new revelation at IFA trade show currently being held in Berlin. At the event, the company put the spotlight on its media file-sharing technology which lets users seamlessly share multimedia files on the LG Optimus 7 as well as all DLNA compliant digital devices. All this can be carried out through just a simple touch.

“This unique feature is a direct response to the growing need for technologies that empower users to share multimedia content across electronic devices. LG Optimus 7 smartphones will be at the center of a complete entertainment experience, representing LG’s leadership in mobile convergence,” stated Seong-jin Park, Vice President of Mobile Handset R&D Center at LG Electronics.

This offering will come as an integrated attribute where handset owners can transfer files from their media gallery stored in their phone without accessing any other applications. It will portray all the compatible products found in the surrounding Wi-Fi area. They can then send across high-resolution photos, 720p HD videos and high-quality music files from their handsets to TVs or home theater system.

The LG Optimus 7 smartphones is scheduled to hit stores by early Q4 2010. The exact pricing details are still unclear at this point.
