LG seems all set to launch the L4 II and its dual SIM version in Russia, even as the smartphone pops up on the country-centric website ahead of an announcement, but not without a price. Although it hasn’t been announced formally, the MRP of the single SIM unit (E440) has been estimated to amount to 5,490 rubles ($172), while the model with two SIM slots (E445) will hit availability status at 5,990 rubles ($187).
The folks from a local site known as Hi-Tech.Mail.Ru have been claimed as the key source for delivering the retail value of the L4 II and the dual SIM edition, says a post on Phone Arena. Apart from the difference in the number of their SIM slots as mentioned earlier, the handsets can be spotted parading a few additional variations.
With a height of 112.5mm, the E440 is a tad shorter than the 112.8mm tall E445. Similar to the other members of the portfolio, the former comes with 3 keys planted below the 3.8-inch IPS screen, whereas the latter houses four buttons instead. If we were to compare any other component on each of their specification sheets, we would find little diversity.
Armed with edition 4.1 of Android, both models of the phone are powered by a single core Mediatek MT6575 chipset clocked at 1GHz. In addition to 4GB of inbuilt storage capacity which can be increased by up to 32GB via a microSD card, system memory of 512MB exists within the devices. A 1,700mAh battery takes charge of proffering juice between charges, but the operation time derivable remains a secret.
The LG Optimus L4 II and its dual SIM version have been embedded with a single 3MP camera, but at the given price this may be acceptable to some. So far, the handset has wandered solely into the country-specific portal and there is no saying whether it has been destined for additional markets as well.
