LG Optimus G2 gets captured in leaked images, Android 4.2.2 coming through

The LG Optimus G2 has been spotted amidst a slew of speculations, but this is the first instance wherein we get to see it in a whole new light. Not only has the gadget apparently posed for more pictures than one, but a YouTube subscriber going by the 4Leakz username has uploaded a video of the LG smartphone.

4Leakz has gone ahead to state that the handset will stretch up to a height of 5.46 inches and a width of 2.8 inches. Seen below is a snapshot of the purported LG Optimus G2 which as per Engadget will be peddling a 5.2-inch panel with the benefits of full HD visuals.

As the image clearly depicts, the three navigation keys have been moved onto the screen. Probably to shake things up, the manufacturer has placed the volume buttons on the flip side, right below the camera which is speculated to tout a 13MP sensor.

The news has washed ashore more details than just the phone’s physical appearance. What the pictures go on to imply is that it will be optimized for Android 4.2.2 and made available on Sprint’s network at least, even if it isn’t offered through any other carrier.

While the aforementioned article gives credence to the estimation of a 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor providing the Optimus G2 with speed for multitasking, it has added that the CPU will be assisted by 2GB of RAM. Details revolving around storage configuration and battery should be divulged on August 7, say the folks at Engadget.
