The LG Optimus G will be arriving in Europe with its first stop destined for Sweden. Since the device’s debut last year, the maker has added certain improvisations to its interface before it hits various markets in the continent.
The Optimus G will now not only be home to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, but also contain optimized versions of the company’s popular UX features. First up is the QSlide utility that sanctions concurrent usage of a number of tools. Instead of being viewed as adjacent frames, these running applications are displayed as transparent layers whose size, position and visibility can be tweaked. The function has been attuned to work with multiple apps.
Next in line is Safety Care, a tool that is included with the purpose of safeguarding its owners. Whenever a user calls an emergency hotline, a message is sent across to those contacts that the consumer has earlier chosen. This text will contain location details of the customer. The service also gets activated when the handset hasn’t been used for a long period of time.
The last utility is Privacy Keeper that allows users to keep the caller’s information private. In the event of an incoming call, details like the name, number and photo are kept hidden. These particulars can be accessed by just swiping the icon on the screen. The phone will also consist of additional features like Google Now, Filmstrip View and Expandable notifications, courtesy of the fresh OS.
The 4.7-inch touchscreen employed here, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and the manufacturer has made use of Zerogap Touch technology that increases the sensitivity of the display and reduces the size of the handset.
