After showcasing its innovative 2D to 3D Game Converter, LG has officially started rolling out the software. The 3D Game Converter will be available for download to users of the LG Optimus 3D smartphone. The company says that this software will advance the arena of mobile phone gaming and deliver a more realistic experience to gamers.
As its name suggests, the 3D Game Converter software transforms 2D games into three dimensional ones. It is said to be the first software engine which lets smartphone users convert Open GL-based 2D games into 3D and also provides them the option to switch back to 2D anytime by merely tapping on the 3D Hot Key switch.
“LG’s 3D Game Converter directly addresses the dearth of 3D content that has prevented many users from fully embracing 3D. We will continue to further cement our leadership in all things 3D by developing innovative ways for users to have a really positive viewing experience with our 3D products,” said Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
Through this game converter users can experience 2D games in 3D and manually adjust the depth and vision settings for getting the best view. The LG 3D Game Converter can be installed through software updates which will be available over Wi-Fi.
The software can also be acquired by connecting the LG Optimus 3D smartphone to a PC and running the LG mobile support tool software.
