Soon after AT&T released BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphone, it has been made available in India and other regions by Letsbuy. The handset is a touch-and-type smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keypad.
The device, incorporated with a 1.2GHz processor and HTML5, runs on the latest BlackBerry 7.0 operating system which delivers better web browsing and enhanced graphics. It comes with a 786MB RAM and user memory of 8MB. The external memory is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The 3.2-inch transmissive TFT LCD touchscreen displays a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and comes with an optical trackpad. The 161g handset is designed in a size of 111mm x 62mm x 14.6mm. The device has a single 5MP camera with 4x digital zoom with LED flash and zero lag capture which allows clicking images instantly and recording videos in 720p HD.
The handset is GPRS, EDGE, and WLAN 802.11 b/g/n enabled. It also provides 3G (14.4 Mbps HSDPA, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA) and Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP connectivity. The approximate talk time and standby time offered by its 1270mAh Lithium Ion battery is 12.8 days and 6.5 hours respectively. It can also play videos for up to 7 hours and music for about 54 hours.
The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is available online through Letsbuy at a price of Rs 29,749. The warranty period of the handset is one year while that of the accessories is 6 months.
