The Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has officially been unveiled in India and will go up for sale exclusively via Flipkart on August 3 at 11:59pm. There are two versions of the phone up for grabs. One features 3GB of RAM and costs Rs 11999, while the other packs 4GB of RAM and costs Rs 13499.
As was revealed last week, the Indian version of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note offers updated specs when compared against the original Chinese variant. Other than an increase in RAM, the local model also gets double the memory at 32GB of ROM. It also runs on Google’s latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of the brand’s Pure UI on top.
The new Pure UI is supposed to be closer to stock Android than the company’s other Vibe UI. Lenovo has stuffed some interesting features into the phone. For instance, users can activate Secure Zone in order to access 2 virtual phones within the handset, meaning they can run two instances of apps like WhatsApp or WeChat without missing out on any notifications.
There’s also a neat Smart Scene tool which lets owners change settings like Bluetooth, brightness or GPS based on their location, time or class schedule. Specs-wise, the Vibe K5 Note offers a pretty compelling combination of features for its price point. Highlights include Dolby Atmos-enriched speakers, Wolfson audio technology, and TheaterMax technology.

The last allows the Lenovo smartphone to convert movies and games into a widescreen format viewable through a VR headset. Like its previous variant, the new device is also being bundled with the AntVR headset for a short period of time. This time round, the company is also throwing a TheaterMax controller into the mix.
