The Lenovo ThinkPad tablet which launched a few months ago has now been enhanced with the Qualcomm Gobi 3000 technology. The company states that with the incorporation of this chipset, the ThinkPad has become one of the few Android tablets to offer enterprise customers a single, unified global mobile platform.

Refreshed with the Qualcomm Gobi 3000 technology, users of the ThinkPad will now be able to conveniently operate through any of the major carriers in U.S. and remain connected with global roaming support when abroad. Owners of this Lenovo tablet no longer have to change the hardware in order provide to support for various carriers and mobile connectivity options that vary from region to region.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet with the Qualcomm Gobi 3000 chipset is now available online at lenovo.com as well as through the company’s business partners. It comes in two capacities of 16GB and 32GB, with or without a digitizer pen for prices ranging between $479 and $589.
