Lenovo ThinkPad 2 price set, release date pops up as well

The Lenovo ThinkPad 2 price and release date details have finally appeared after the device made its first appearance back in August. And for those eagerly waiting to purchase the tablet, it is slated to be up for grabs sometime during November.

As most are aware, the slab brings in a scoop of the Windows 8 platform and Intel’s next generation processors under one roof for smooth operations. It takes on a touch panel that measures 10.1 inches diagonally for displaying content. As per the company’s claims, users will not only be able to easily switch from one application to another, but also work with more than four open tools at the same time. Moreover, just like the ThinkPad Twist, customers can dock the device onto an optional keyboard for quick input while creating and editing documents as well as presentations via Microsoft Office.

The tablet also comes with an optional digitizer and pen combination that enables signature capturing in addition to annotating files and note taking. A full-sized USB port is embedded on the chassis for hooking up printers, displays, USB drives or DVD burners. Apart from rendering support for 3G connectivity, the slab offers 4G for quicker browsing as well as downloading and uploading content. It weighs not more than 1.3 pounds and is capable of delivering roughly 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. IT manageability, security and corporate-level features contribute to its enterprise-ready capabilities.

The price for the Lenovo ThinkPad 2 starts at $649. Like we noted earlier, its release date has been scheduled for November and it will be available through the company’s business partners.
