Lenovo K3 Note goes on open sale, new yellow variant available

The Lenovo K3 Note has gone on open sale as part of the company’s Independence Day celebration for India. It’s a new kind of freedom for the best-selling phablet, chained as it was to the flash sale model that probably added to its appeal, but limited its accessibility to those who didn’t want to participate in the registration process.

The black and white colors aren’t the only variants up for grabs through the open sale. The company had also announced the availability of a limited edition yellow version of the Lenovo K3 Note on August 11 beginning from 12pm. It’s been seen in promotional images for the phone, but has never been vended by the company in India. This model sticks to the Rs 9999 pricing that has proven so successful for the others.

Lenovo has not made it known how many units of each color will be available in the sale. Based on the response to the earlier ones, they might get sold out very quickly. Last week saw 62000 handsets vanishing in a matter of seconds. Overall, the smartphone has sold over 2 lakh pieces till date. That’s quite an achievement for a phone which hasn’t been in the market for a very long period of time.
