The Lenovo Idea Tab A2107 price in the US has been declared by the Chinese manufacturer and the tablet is up for grabs. The slab has been made available in two 3G variants dubbed as 2298B4U and 59345263.
The news of its launch was spilled by the official Lenovo Twitter account along with a link that directed users to the device’s product page. The dual SIM slab weighs 400 grams and is considered to be apt for carrying along. Within dimensions of 192mm x 122mm x 11.5mm rests a 7-inch LED multi-touch touchscreen display which depicts visuals at a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.
To facilitate capturing images, a 2MP camera lies on the back, whereas a VGA webcam snuggles next to the screen to ensure live face-to-face calling. The Idea Tab A2107 has been offered in two storage configurations namely, 8GB and 16GB. Apart from packing connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth, GPS has also been included. As per the company’s claims, the slab can run for up to 10 hours when used for Wi-Fi browsing.
The dual SIM tablet is driven by Android Ice Cream Sandwich which brings in features such as Face Unlock, resizable widgets, swipe to dismiss notifications and more. However, no details of a supposed upgrade to Jelly Bean have been given out.
Internally, a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor delivers speed for downloading content, browsing the Internet, transferring data and other tasks. The 2298B4U device possesses 512MB of RAM, while the system memory for the 59345263 variant is 1GB. The 59345263 model of the 3G-enabled Lenovo Idea Tab A2107 had earlier been made available in the US carrying a price tag of $199, but the cost has been increased to $229. On the other hand, the 2298B4U can be purchased for $219.
