Lenovo Android smartphones debut in India

Lenovo has introduced a range of Android smartphones in India at different price points, allowing prospective users to choose the ones that suit them the best. The S880, S560, K860, P700i and A60 will soon be made available in the country.

First up is the 5-inch S880 that flaunts a capacitive touchscreen and binges on the Ice Cream Sandwich platform. A 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM fuel the dual SIM device, while a 2250mAh battery provides talk time of about 17 hours at a stretch. It tags along a 0.3MP front camera as well as a 5MP rear facing imager.

The K860 is another 5-inch handset that runs ICS. It has a quad core processor, a 4-core GPU and 1GB of RAM under the hood, along with a 2250mAh battery. This Lenovo gadget is armed with a 2MP webcam and an 8MP primary camera.

Furthermore, the S560 and P700i handsets have been deployed with Ice Cream Sandwich and are fitted with a 4-inch capacitive multi-touch screen. The former has dual SIM card slots and boasts of a 1GHz dual core chip, 512MB RAM, a 2000mAh battery, a 0.3MP webcam and a 5MP auto focus camera.

Front

Equipped with a quad core chipset, the P700i is the proud owner of a 2500mAh battery, a 4-core GPU, 512MB RAM, a 5MP rear snapper and a 0.3MP front imager. The A60 is an affordable Gingerbread gadget complete with a 1GHz CPU, 256MB RAM, a 1500mAh battery and a 2MP autofocus camera.

The exact release date of the Lenovo Android smartphones has not been announced for India as yet. The S880, S560, K860, P700i and A60 cost Rs. 18,999, Rs. 14,499, Rs. 28,499, Rs. 12,499 and Rs. 6,499, respectively.
