The Lava Iris X8 is the Indian company’s answer to the Yu Yureka and the Xiaomi Redmi Note smartphones which are dominating the country’s market at the moment. This fresh device happens to be the upcoming flagship product of the company, and a leak has told us that it will be made available at the affordable price of Rs 8999.
As revealed by FoneArena, the Lava Iris X8 was listed by Flipkart for some time before it was taken off the e-retail site eventually. But all the details certainly managed to seep out during that period, and we now have a very clear idea of what the smartphone will have on offer whenever it’s released.
The dual SIM Iris X8 kicks in a 5-inch 720p HD display and runs on a 1.4 GHz octa core MediaTek processor which is backed by 2GB worth of RAM. This Yu Yureka competitor chooses to grant 16GB of storage to its buyers, apart from a microSD card slot with support for an additional 32GB. And while the new Lava phone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat installed on it, an upgrade to 5.0 Lollipop will indeed be rolled out for it.
Here’s a good look at the specs of the Lava Iris X8:
