Lava Flair P1 budget smartphone outed for Rs. 3399

The Lava Flair P1 has been made official in India and it’s being touted as an affordable option for first-time smartphone users as it carries a price tag of just Rs 3399. For that amount, you get basic features along with 3G connectivity to enable high speed internet access on the Flair series device.

The Lava Flair P1 is a pretty attractive phone considering its retail tag and flaunts an alluring design. The handset comes in black and white colors with a metallic ring on the sides. There’s a 4-inch display on the front and it proffers visuals at 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Additionally, you also get a secondary camera here which is a VGA sensor.

And on the rear, there’s a 2MP shooter with an LED flash. Like we mentioned above, the phone is all about offering basic amenities. And it employs a 1GHz single core processor to do the heavy lifting. Well, this is one of its downsides as other devices in the same category manage to fit in a dual core SOC at least and some even go the extent of offering quad core performance.

The Flair P1 is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat and it offers a stock UI sans excessive bloatware. And that’s mainly because the internal memory is just 2GB. If that’s not disappointing enough, the RAM is a mere 256MB. And then there’s the 1400mAh battery under the hood which can deliver up to 6 hours and 42 minutes of talk time on a single charge.

Lava Flair P1 specs at a glance:

– Android 4.4 KitKat
– 4-inch WVGA IPS LCD
– 256MB RAM
– 2GB ROM, 32GB expandable
– 2MP main camera, VGA front shooter
– 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth GPS
– 1400mAh battery
– 110 grams weight

Sure, the smartphone looks like it came straight from 2012, but it still does make a pretty decent first Android handset.
