Latitude 30 Applications that integrate numerous social networking sites into one single platform have already made their way to App Store. Now, another fresh app is added to the list that is known as the Latitude Global Grid app for the iPhone. Although this software also promises to bring together several SNSs together, it adds in a twist. iPhone owners can now socialize, follow their friends, share music or listen to music, watch live concerts with this new app.

The best attribute of this software is that it carries out all of the above in a secure environment and real-time. The app currently is available for Jacksonville and will later move on to other locations in Indianapolis, Nashville and Pittsburgh. It even allows handset owners to keep a tab on what is taking place on their PC, Mac or mobile phones including iPhone as well as Android handsets. Additionally, the company intends to unravel further enhancements such as geo-location services, file sharing including Word or PowerPoint, photo sharing and alerts for special coupons for the various Latitude locations.

“Having our first mobile application approved in Apple’s App store marks another major milestone for our company,” remarked John Andrews, CEO of WGC. “While the App store represents only one of the ways we will distribute our capabilities globally, it is significant since it is the largest distribution channel for mobile apps and is the first step in how we will maximize this distribution platform.”

The Latitude Global Grid app lets users access Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and music-sharing services through one single platform. The grid has been designed to ensure that it does not expose any member’s content in the public domain. The Latitude 30 Global Grid Social Media Xperience boasts of endowing its users with ‘one location and endless possibilities’. However, iPhone owners will need a user name and password to access the Latitude Global grid this can be availed through invitation only. Those who wish to access it can email their request to [email protected].

Users can download the Latitude Global Grid app from the App Store for free. Droid handset owners will have to wait for another 30 days for the software.
