Kogan Unveils Agora: The Google Phone For Australians

 Google Android gPhone,the Agora Australia welcomes the world’s second Google Android gPhone. It is known as the Kogan Agora. The phone is updated in two versions, the standard Agora and the Agora Pro. The Agora phone is the first phone in Australia that runs down on the Android platform.

The Agora phone looks cool as it wears the dynamic black color wrapped with all the latest features of G1 or iPhone. The standard Agora is equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard and has a 2.5 inch touch screen display. It incorporates a central navigation key and supports 3G connectivity. The Agora Pro too integrates the same features and sports a 2 megapixel camera and supports GPS system. It also inherits Bluetooth connectivity.

Kogan says it “has been a long time supporter of open source and Android provides a real alternative to Apple’s proprietary operating system for the iPhone.”

Kogan continued:

The Kogan Agora phone is integrated with applications like Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Talk, Google search and many more applications and services offered by Google.

The users can instantly access internet through their devices and enjoy full web application services. It also provides customized home screen for flexible use and for quick access to e-mails, IM notifications and text messages.

The much awaited phone is available now, the standard Agora is sold for 300 Australian dollars (approx. Rs. 9, 590) and the Agora Pro retails 400 Australian dollars (approx. Rs. 12, 800) for Agora pro.
