Amazon has released its application for the iPhone. It will enable iPhone users to browse for various products offered by Amazon and other retailers like Macy and Target.
The Amazon application for the iPhone is basically meant to simplify shopping on the iPhone. The one-click feature on the iPhone allows the users to access Amazon shopping features.
In addition to search and place orders through the application, it also adds another feature called as Amazon Remembers, which is an experimental feature.With this newly added feature the iPhone users can click photos with the iPhone camera and then Amazon will try and find out products that look like the photos clicked and then inform the customer. When users receive the products’ information that have been matched, either they can purchase it or store them for later use.
“We designed the Amazon app to be a quick and easy way for iPhone and iPod touch users to shop, browse, and buy with Amazon.com,” comments Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile. “We’re also really excited about Amazon Remembers because it’s a fun and useful way to use the iPhone camera to find and remember items while on-the-go. Customers can build visual lists of things they want to remember, buy, or even learn more about.”
The Amazon application for iPhone is available for free at the AppStore.
