Jabra Stone2 Bluetooth headset declared in India

Jabra Stone2 Bluetooth Headset The updated version of the Jabra Stone headset which is supposedly quite advanced has been announced in India. Just released, the Jabra Stone2 Bluetooth headset is apparently so improved that users don’t ever need to touch their headsets but can give the commands orally and the headset will obey them.

Through this headset users can literally speak to the device and the device in turn speaks to them too. It tells users each caller’s number after which they have to merely say yes or no if they want the call to be accepted or not. Various commands to answer, end, redial, make, reject and ignore calls can be executed via user’s voice. To experience total hands free communication, users only have to know the correct functional words that the device can identify such as, ‘Answer’, ‘Call Mike’, ‘End Call’ etc.

Ann Goh, Regional Sales Manager, GN Netcom, responsible for mobile products business in South East Asia, explained, “The look and design is so different and unique that it would appeal to all types of users. We are building on the success of predecessor Jabra Stone. The wireless ‘earvolution’ continues and Jabra Stone2 takes it one step further with an innovative voice systems, multimedia capabilities and optimization with a wide variety of voice enabled applications.”

One of the advantages of this product is that users almost never have to look at it to check its battery or connectivity as the device will keep them informed about these things by talking. The headsets comprise Bluetooth A2DP profile for stereo audio streaming from multimedia on to the user’s phone. Via audio streaming, users can search the web and add calendar entries as well. They are also capable of connecting up to two devices at the same time as well as download applications that allow users to send e-mails and texts with their voices.

The company claims to provide users with superb noise clarity with its Noise Blackout technology with dual microphones which only captures the sound and filters out disturbing background noise. This enables users to hear clearly even in loud and chaotic scenarios. For iPhone users, in the event of the battery being low, the headsets not only say the same but also graphically present it to them on the display screen in case they did not hear the warning.

With 10 hrs of talk time and 15 days standby time, this latest device automatically switches off and on when placed in the portable charger or removed from it thus saving the battery level. By only sliding a finger up or down the device, users can increase or decrease the volume owing to its one touch volume control feature.
These headsets have a seemingly more advanced and unique design than its previous counterpart which makes them fit comfortably behind the user’s ears. The company says that with these new updated headsets, four ‘comfort-tested’ and user friendly ear gels are provided as well to enable a personalized fit for varied ear shapes and sizes. Furthermore, the product’s wireless portable charger can double up as a concise carrying case which fits into the user’s palm with ease.

Available in two colors namely black and white (with gloss finish), the Jabra Stone2 Bluetooth headset can be bought at a price of Rs. 7999 and is available at online retail portals and most of the leading electronic stores in India.
