Tumblr 2.0 for iPhone arrives on the App Store. Many bloggers on Tumblr rejoiced as the old slow and buggy app is finally upgraded. The new application is said to make browsing, posting and editing blogs simpler.
Being reinvented from scratch, Tumblr 2.0 will feature a new interface, changing the icon layout from the vertical position style to a less cramped up menu. The ‘Post’ when clicked, shows six options based on types like text, photo, link, quote, video and audio. The software will also search the address book to find more people on Tumblr.
The new sign up option allows users to create an account directly from their phones instead of visiting the main website. The optimized dashboard may appear the same but will now have a smoother scrolling. The updated application will include multiple blog support, a new landscape editing feature, view and reply to messages on each blog and ability to save drafts. The recording feature uses the inbuilt mic to record audio messages.
