GeneraliYogi and Spectranet broadband service provider ink deal over customer support

iYogi and Spectranet broadband service provider ink deal over customer support

Remote technical support brand iYogi, has signed a deal with Spectranet which will see the former assisting the latter’s home and business clients across India. Accordingly, a customer technical support service dubbed Tech Assit that is founded on iYogi’s Digital Service Cloud SaaS platform, has been launched.

Spectranet is a broadband service provider with licenses to operate in metropolitan areas such as Delhi / NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengalooru and Chennai. Gurgaon-based iYogi has already been offering its tech support services for PC, software, peripherals and select connected devices for various companies’ customers around the globe including the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia and others.

A report on The Financial Express says that iYogi will cater to Spectranet’s needs for customer network management and technical assistance to clients in India. The latter’s new as well as current FOX (Fibre Optic Xperience) broadband users will be eligible to free support from the Tech Assit facility we’ve mentioned above.

Tech Assit will be handled directly by iYogi, with customers being able to access the remote support service at any given time of the day. The goal is to ensure users are not assaulted by the feeling that Spectranet left them hanging after providing internet connectivity, by helping solve any technical issues which may come up.

On a side note, the sales strategy used by iYogi came under scrutiny in the past when various reports including this one claimed that the company was using scare tactics to get customers of free services to sign up for paid subscriptions. We don’t know how long the partnership with Spectranet is supposed to, but let’s hope similar complaints don’t surface again.
