iPhone out of stock in the US and UK

iPhone

We have heard of iPhone reaching many markets around the globe. But we wonder where all the iPhones have disappeared from the US and UK. The US and UK markets are out of stock of both, the 8GB as well as the 16 GB iPhones.

Apple stores first spoke about the unavailability of the phones and later it was UK’s O2 carriers stating the same. It is also reported that Apple’s US supply of the iPhone has slashed down as well. All their websites show “Currently Unavailable”. Sales representatives were heard stating that all the phones are sold out.

It is speculated to be a strategy by some, as it’s depleting the iPhone stock while awaiting the next generation iPhone. This has led to the rumor that the next generation 3G model will be unwrapped soon.

It is also said that the analysts and pundits have been stating June 9 as the opening day of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) when the 3G iPhone will be introduced. Some also think the new 3G iPhone will go on sale from June 29, marking the first anniversary of the iPhone.
