iPhone 5C and 4S buyback schemes go live today in India

About only 2 weeks after the iPhone 5C was introduced in India, dealers and retailers have already planned a buyback scheme for the phone. The iPhone 4S has also been taken under the offer’s wings and can be purchased for a discounted rate when potential customers hand in their own smartphones.

A Business Today report has revealed that the scheme is slated to go live starting today itself. On exchanging their devices, customers can expect a discount of up to 13,000 on the iPhone 5C and the 4S. Unfortunately, no such offer has been introduced for the iPhone 5S, but then again, it is already out of stock in most regions and clearly doesn’t need to resort to them to attract buyers.

An email received by the dealers has also listed the devices which are acceptable for the buyback scheme. These include Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and 6.3, Galaxy S4 and S3, Note 3 and 2, HTC One Dual SIM, One Mini, Desire 500 and 600, BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 and Sony Xperia C, ZR, Z, Z1 and Z Ultra and Nokia Lumia 925. The iPhone 4 8GB and 16GB will also be accepted.

It goes without saying that the devices you take for exchanging should be in perfect working condition and it is advisable to carry all the accessories along. It has come to light that dealers can earn a commission of as much as Rs 2,000 per device.

Those who make the most of the deal can purchase the Rs 41,900-worth iPhone 5C 16GB for as low as Rs 28,900, while the 8GB 4S can be grabbed for Rs 18,500. The latter normally cost Rs 31,500.
