iOS SDK 4.3 Beta

The month of November last year witnessed Apple introducing the iOS 4.2 beta for its developers. Almost two months later the company has released the iOS SDK 4.3 beta. Apple’s Developer website displays the availability of the beta for developers.

Not much could be deduced from the official website, as it’s necessary to be registered as a developer with the company to progress any further. Nonetheless, Engadget has penned down key facets of what we can expect from the iOS 4.3 beta.

For one, the Personal Hotspot functionality that will be seen in the Verizon iPhone is said to be very much present in this beta. However, handset owners will have to approach their carriers in order to activate it.

Secondly, the Photos app now includes a fresh AirPlay function for images and videos. The icons of the Update menu in the App Store are also said to have been altered in size, they are now much larger. Ostensibly, the camera shutter sound appears to have been tweaked too.

Leaving aside the iPhone, the operating system upgrade brings multi-touch multitasking gestures to the iPad, wherein owners can use four to five fingers for various haptic actions. Moving onto the iPod Touch, FaceTime now is symbolized with a new icon.
