Apple has released the iOS 16.4 update for iPhones and has equipped it with fresh emoji options, among other things. Similar features are also being doled out to the iPad via the iPadOS 16.4 update as well as tvOS 16.4 and macOS Ventura 13.3 for respective devices.

Up to 21 new emoji can be accessed through iOS 16.4 including a wobbling face and a pink heart. An emoji featuring two palms opposing each other is also included, aside from a Wi-Fi symbol.

Hearts of light blue and grey colours have also been added by this iOS 16.4 update. Other emoji additions include a Japanese hand fan, a piece of ginger, a pod of peas, a jellyfish, a moose, a donkey, and a hair pick. Musical instruments like a flute and maracas as present as well.

And then there are other features like voice isolation, which prioritises users’ voices to block out ambient sound during calls. Earlier, this trait was only accessible through FaceTime and other VoIP apps but it’s now enabled for cellular calls

Users can activate it by opening Control Center while on a call and tapping on the Mic Mode and selecting Voice Isolation. Apple’s update for iPhones even brings with it the ability for iOS developers to send a notification to users who have pinned web applications to their Home Screens.

Furthermore, the iPhone keyboard gets updated with support for new indigenous languages like Chickasaw and Choctaw, aside from support for transliteration for Gujarati, Punjabi, and Urdu language keyboards.

iPhone users can now download the iOS 16.4 update by hitting the Settings app, going into General and selecting Software Update.
