The price tags of two new phones going by the Intex Aqua SX and Star names made an appearance on the manufacturer’s website today. The company that’s known for being rather prolific when it comes to introducing budget devices, has stuck to tradition even with this pair seeing as the former is marked at Rs. 4,490, while the latter can be picked up for Rs. 3,990.
Since the official website has been inaccessible for the past few hours now, the product pages for both handsets are unavailable at present. So we’re relying on FoneArena who seems to have dug up this news first, for the specs and other relevant details. First off, the Star is touted to be fixed with a touchscreen of 4 inches and run on what looks to be the not yet outdated Gingerbread OS. 1GHz processor, a 3MP main snapper and a 1.3MP front lens also figure on the specifications sheet.
Next comes the dual SIM SX which is purported to have specifications very similar to that of the S. Its two SIM slots both accommodate only GSM cards. Yet again, it is an Android 2.3 phone and has a 480 x 320p resolution, capacitive touchscreen spanning across 3.5 inches. A 1GHz MediaTek MTK6515 CPU delivers all the steam for its various functions and there’s a 1450mAh battery to keep it juiced up. The image of the device (posted below) attached to the aforesaid report appears to be that of its predecessor though.
Potential users keen on buying a handset with a good camera ought to note that there’s a 5MP main sensor on the back panel and a basic 0.3MP one on the front. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone leans on Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm audio jack. 512MB onboard memory, 256MG RAM and up to 32GB expandable memory are also part of the bargain. Meanwhile, those interested in other devices by the manufacturer could pay a visit to Snapdeal which is offering some crazy discounts on this brand. The QWERTY-equipped Charm that was selling at a lowered rate of Rs. 890 (66% off) really had us gawking.
The Intex Aqua Star and SX are yet to be announced through an official press release from the company. But there shouldn’t be any doubts about the fact that two more wallet-friendly Android devices are indeed heading into the market from these quarters.
