The price of the Intex Aqua Style has been announced at Rs. 11,200, along with device itself. And it looks like a fairly interesting chunk of hardware for anyone who wouldn’t mind shelling upwards of Rs. 10,000 over a dual SIM phone rather splitting the amount over two handsets.
Pushing the currently raging phablet trend forward, the device holds a capacitive touchscreen of 5.9 inches and 480 x 800p resolution to its front panel. Situated above this display is a 1.3MP camera for video calling purposes. Packing in the sort of lens expected of a smartphone carrying a tag such as the aforesaid, the device has an 8MP sensor on the rear side.
The large Android handset runs version 4.0.4 of the Google mobile OS and gets its steam from a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 CPU. Talking about memory, the company has thrown in 512MB RAM and 1GB internal storage. But hoarding buffs need not be disappointed by the last mentioned spec, there’s the option to expand the memory space by up to 32MB.
For those who are still reading the post, we’re assuming the smartphone has managed to keep the interest this far. So delving into its detailed features, there’s a 2500mAh battery promising to deliver up to 3.5 hours of talk time. Also, the connectivity options cover Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. The dual SIM slots we mentioned earlier can accommodate two GSM cards.
While the Intex Aqua Style has got an official label of Rs. 11,200, Flipkart has it at Rs. 11,280 and Infibeam has yet to put a tag to it. The device doesn’t appear to be ready to fly off shelves at present and it looks like the company will let it out in white upon launch.
