Idea Ultra dual SIM 3G phablet launched at Rs 10,500

The Idea Ultra 3G smartphone has been launched in India in the entry-level segment and the company is offering data free for a period of three months along with the gadget. For data packs priced between Rs 259 and Rs 261, potential buyers can expect 3GB of 3G data along with Idea TV free of charge for the said span of time.

The Ultra is the first 5-inch Idea smartphone and is here to compete with a hoard of devices which fall in the category. These include the likes of the Micromax Canvas Turbo and Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 amongst others. Coming to the specifications of the gadget in question, it has been fitted with an IPS capacitive touchscreen that tags along a light sensor.

One of the key highlights of the device is its rear-facing 8MP camera that has been loaded with basic features as well as LED flash. Apart from recording decent quality videos, it has the ability to capture as many as 90 continuous pictures of a moving object. Drenched in the shade of glossy white, the handset features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well.

As for the OS, the device makes the most of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 platform and tags along Google mobile services too. Its ability to multitask can be attributed to a quad core processor that can clock in a speed of 1.2GHz and the device takes the assistance of a 2000mAh battery to cough up the juice for extended usage time.

The Idea Ultra 3G smartphone has already been made available for Rs 10,500.
