The makers of the Android based Slide tablet have given an internal makeover of sorts to the device in question only to come up with its advanced version dubbed iBall Slide i7218, for India. The latest gizmo in the ‘performance series’ from the company, continues to retain the features of its predecessor along with packing in some new ones.
The beefed up version of the Slide tablet comes armed with dual cameras. The 2MP rear-facing snapper allows capturing still shots as well as videos, while the front-facing VGA webcam should facilitate video conferencing over the web. The multimedia-ready slate enhances the music listening and movie viewing experiences with the assistance of the built-in dual stereo speakers.
The direct USB port of this tablet can be employed to establish instant connections with USB drives and devices like a keyboard, mouse or more. The lightweight slab weighs 450 grams and dons an 800 x 480p 7-inch TFT multi-touch display on the front panel. Powered by the 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, it runs the Android platform and comes with an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity.
