DoCoMo Remittance service DoCoMo has made money matters simpler by offering its new service to customers. The service is called i-mode mobile Internet and will work on the FOMA 3G network. By using the company’s mobilw phones, users can conveniently and speedily remit money to other users.

Financial matters like transferring money to a family member or setting up accounts with people can be easily dealt with through this service. Through this service customers can remit up to $208 at a time by simply entering the payee’s mobile phone number. After transferring the money, the payee will attain a notification via mail on the mobile phone. They will be offered an option of either depositing the money in a domestic bank account or directly crediting to their company’s monthly phone bill. The service can be availed without the need to register for the service or open a new bank account. The service is highly secured as no private banking details are revealed and the whole process just requires the payee’s phone number.

The service will be charged ¥105 for the payer and ¥65 for the payee. If the money is deposited into a Mizuho Bank account or credited into the monthly phone bill, the payee will not be charged at all. Users will be able to avail this service from July 21, 2009.
