After donning a brand new user interface, Hulu Plus has decided to flaunt it by boarding seven more Android tablets for the first time. With this, a long list of slates will now be able to access the service with full compatibility.
The lineup of gadgets that have been picked to welcome the fresh version of the app includes names like Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Motorola Xoom, Motorola Xyboard 10.1, Toshiba Thrive, Acer Iconia and LG G-Slate. The refurbished look of the software is meant to deliver a less cluttered and interesting interface to keep viewers engaged. The horizontal trays have been refreshed for allowing more natural interaction.
“We’ve organized our content library so it’s easy to discover new shows and keep up with the shows you already love. Jump back into your favorite shows quickly and easily with the ‘What You’re Watching’ tray and never miss a new episode or lose your place in a series. Check out popular and recommended content in a variety of genres and laugh at last night’s hilarious Saturday Night Live skit or cry over last week’s Smash episode. And keep up with the hottest trending clips and scroll through the latest movie trailers with ease,” said a post by software developers, Rajiv Makhijani and Zachary Pinter, on the official Hulu blog.
In addition to the aforementioned enhancements, the pages now show off larger thumbnails to make better use of the display aspect of tablets as compared to smartphones. Also, audiences can apparently pick and play the latest episode for any series by simply pressing down a finger on the thumbnail of the preferred show.
The Hulu Plus revamped app for Android tablets can be installed free of cost through Google Play.
