The Huawei P9 is probably going to land in India on August 17, with the company sending out emails to the press hinting that something exciting is coming on that date. There’s no mention of whether the P9 Plus will be making its local debut as well.
The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus were launched together back in April. The handsets claim to fame is their dual-camera setup which was created in collaboration with Leica. Both lenses sport a 12MP resolution. One captures images in color, while the other shoots them in black-and-white or monochrome.
The two can be combined using an algorithm which apparently results in clearer high-quality images. Huawei has spared no expense when it comes to photography, showering the department with an aperture of f/2.2, dual-tone flash, a pixel size of 1.25µm for better low-light snaps, and Hybrid Focus which blends laser focus, depth measurement and contrast to click photos faster.
