Huawei Honor proffers three day battery life

Huawei Honor smartphoneThe Huawei Honor Gingerbread smartphone, to be seen on shelves from fourth quarter (2011) onwards, is fitted with a 1,900MAh battery proffering three days on a single charge. Plus, it features a 4-inch FWVGA capacitive touch screen displaying 16M 16:9 true color in high-definition to enhance gaming and movie-watching, on the handset.

Its hardware consists of a 10.9mm body, weighing 140g and is powered by a 1.4GHz processor. Another noteworthy inclusion is its 2 megapixel front-facing camera, while its rear panel sports an 8 megapixel one. It has a 512MB RAM and wraps in 4GB of memory that is expandable up to 32GB.

“Huawei Honor encapsulates the Huawei brand – it features simple-to-use, advanced technology that allows people to share and connect easily. Honor provides a package of features that elevates the smartphone user experience, including an ultra-long battery life, so critical to the performance of smartphones but yet is often downplayed,” comments Victor Xu, chief marketing officer of Huawei Device. “Consumers now have a high-performing smartphone that lets them communicate, connect, entertain and share content for an extended period of time without compromising on looks, technology or style.”

The mobile phone is DLNA-certified which allows it to seamlessly connect with other DLNA-certified devices like game consoles, TVs and digital cameras. It also incorporates a gyroscope that moves the gaming experience up-a-notch. Honor’s battery life will be one thing that will be difficult to over-look when drawing comparisons with other smartphones that proffer almost similar features to users today.

The Huawei Honor to arrive in ‘classic black’ will be available in China, Russia and the Middle East from Q4 2011 with other colors to be released around Christmas holidays.
