A picture and purported specifications of the HTC Zara were leaked less than two weeks ago and now a new rumor suggests that it is actually the Desire 601. If the speculation is to be believed, then the device will play successor to the Desire 600 dual SIM smartphone. In other news, a CDMA version of the 600 is coming soon to India as it has been popped up on the official company portal.
We haven’t received any confirmation regarding the Zara from the manufacturer as yet. @evleaks had unearthed the features and the press shot of the smartphone and it is the same source which has found out that Zara is actually the codename of the Desire 601. We are not too sure of the supposition and would advise everyone to take this rumor with a huge grain of salt.
The smartphone has been loaded with some sough after attributes and will binge on the latest Android Jelly Bean 4.3 OS. An all new Sense UI, version 5.5, will be responsible for offering an intuitive interface. A dual core MSM8930 processor that ticks at 1.2GHz should be capable of supporting more than a single application at the same time, while 1GB of RAM should ensure smooth navigation.
Furthermore, it employs a 4.5-inch touchscreen on the front side and a webcam is likely to be present for video calling purposes. Another 8MP snapper lays claim over the rear panel of the gadget. And what’s more, prospective customers can expect a 2100mAh battery and 8GB of onboard memory with an option to expand it further using a microSD card.
The HTC Zara or the Desire 601 is slated to hit shelves in the fourth quarter of 2013.
