After introducing the Galaxy Nexus to the world, Verizon Wireless decided to follow it up with another treat when it announced the HTC Rezound release date and price yesterday. The highlighted feature of this device is the integrated Beats Audio.

The last we had seen and heard of this handset was late in October when the network operator’s MAP’D device listing was discovered. It flaunted an impressive collection of tabs and phones to look forward to. The list gave a vague idea about the release date and probable price of this smartphone, which has finally been confirmed today.

Beats Audio incorporation is expected to delight music lovers with enhanced sound quality, delivered by the accompanying headsets which are designed in collaboration with Dr.Dre. The Verizon HTC Rezound is said to be the first smartphone in the country to feature the Beats technology. The key specifications of this device show up a pre-installed 16GB memory card supporting its 16GB internal memory, an 8MP camera accompanied by a 2MP front facing one, and a 4.3-inch super LCD screen.

“HTC and Beats have been important partners to Best Buy over the years and we are thrilled to help them bring the HTC Rezound on the Verizon Wireless network to consumers,” explained Scott Anderson, head of merchandising for Best Buy Mobile. “This is going to be a big holiday for smartphones and people will be looking for new and different features. The HTC Rezound, with HTC’s mobile expertise and audio excellence from Beats, will be a great option for our customers.”

The device will run on the Gingerbread OS, the user interface of which will be enhanced with HTC Sense. A pleasant surprise for Android lovers is in store here, as the company hints at an Ice Cream Sandwich update around early 2012. The 4G connection of this mobile hotspot can be shared with up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices.

The Verizon HTC Rezound will release on November 14 and can be purchased for a price of $299.99 with accompanying plans and a two-year agreement. It may be picked from Best Buy Mobile stores across the nation or through Verizon Wireless and Best Buy online.
