The HTC One price and release date for the US have been allegedly leaked and if the buzz is to be believed, the 32GB version would be sold next month for $199.99 and the 64GB for $299.99 on contract.
Speculations have been encircling this device since last year. Although at that time, it was known by the M7 moniker.
Citing a report on HTC Source as their basis, Android Authority states that the One would be made available through AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Rumor has it that Verizon would be releasing the smartphone as the Droid DNA Plus. Furthermore, customers will have the option of choosing between two colors either black or white.
Going by word that was doing the rounds earlier this year, the phone will be running on the Android Jelly Bean platform with the Sense 5 UI and would possess a 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. 2GB of RAM may be provided alongside in order to expedite multitasking. A massive battery of 2300mAh might also be lodged in the device which should undertake the responsibility of enabling long hours of usage.
The front panel will supposedly encapsulate a 4.7-inch display and a 2MP lens. Embedded on the rear is a 13MP camera that can be used to take snaps and videos. Users can store their data in the 32GB or 64GB of storage space allocated to them on the device and can only guess whether provision for memory expansion would be made. The phone is said to be capable of supporting LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac for connectivity purposes.
There are unconfirmed reports that the HTC One has been slated to release on March 22 in the US. Previous reports indicated that the device would be unveiled on March 8 internationally. That being said customers can only wait till the official launch of the handset in order to unravel the mystery that surrounds it, since the company has decided to keep mum.
