HTC One M7 gets Sense 6 via OTA update in India

Reports have started flowing in that the HTC One M7 which is the company’s 2013 flagship has started receiving the latest Sense 6 UI via a software update. The new firmware is being delivered over the air, packed with features which were introduced with the One M8 flagship.

GSM Arena has an image of the system update notification which also provides a look at the changelog. The firmware version number is 5.12.707.104 and it’s 670.63MB in size, making it a huge upgrade. Here’s what’s new – The fresh UI brings in numerous enhancements and the BlinkFeed interface has also been improved. It now offers smooth continuous scrolling and has been simplified to make adding and discovering content easy. Then there’s the Extreme Power Saving mode to keep the phone going even when your battery is down to the last few percent.

Color coded themes and personalized fonts have also made it onboard along with improvements to imaging apps. The Gallery and Camera have new interfaces, while a Timeline view has been added on the latter for managing images with ease. This very same update has already been rolled out in the US and Canada as well as other locations around the globe.
