The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ smartphone has been officially launched in India exclusively on Flipkart with a price tag of Rs 16,999. For this amount, the handset offers a good deal of features including various high-end components such as an octa core processor, a 1080p display and more.
Let’s start with the major drawbacks of the smartphone. Firstly, it comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is quite old and the company hasn’t mentioned whether an update is in the works. Then there’s limited storage of just 16GB as no provisions of a microSD card slot have been made. On the upside, the phone has the right component to take on the hugely popular Moto G. It features a 5-inch display with 1080p FHD resolution and an Asahi Dragon Trail Glass coating for extra durability.
On the bottom of the One Touch Idol X+, dual stereo speakers have been fitted and there are dual cameras as well. A 2MP snapper is on the front and a 13.1MP shooter sits on the rear. The Idol X+ has a thickness of 8.1mm and it manages to fit in some pretty high-end features such as 2GB of RAM, a 2GHz octa core processor and dual SIM card slots. There’s also a 2500mAh battery which can deliver up to 16 hours of talktime or 600 hours of standby on 3G.
